About Us

Friends of Bowmandale Primary School   Friends of Bowmandale Primary School

We are the Friends of Bowmandale Primary School, a voluntary group of parents whose goal is to raise much needed funds for the school, to raise the presence of the school in the local community and to engage parents in our school activities.

We hold fundraising events to provide extra equipment in and around the school, as well as social events, which our children and their families enjoy immensely. We have recently donated money towards new playground markings, Foundation Christmas presents and costumes for the Christmas concerts.

If you would like to be involved with planning and organisation of events, or can help out at events, please either leave your details at the School Office, or contact Laura on 07875 124 451, or through our Facebook page –

Upcoming Events

Please can we share that due to a change in circumstances the car boot sale, treasure hunt and barbeque that the Friends of Bowmandale Primary School had hoped to host during the Summer Term have had to be cancelled. Sorry for any disappointment.

Summer Fair

In the summer, the Friends of Bowmandale Primary School held a fair to help raise funds for the school and to provide a summer afternoon of fun for the children and their families.

Family Bingo

Family bingo

Just before Easter we held a family bingo. It was so well attended that we had to bring out more tables! Thank you to our ex-chair of governors, Mr K Robinson, for doing a great job of calling the numbers and to everyone who came to support us. We raised £300 for the school.

Wet Play Games

Wet play games

The Friends of Bowmandale Primary School recently donated £1500 to the school to buy new toys and games for the children to use during wet playtimes. The trunks - one for each House Team - include Snakes & Ladders, Connect 4, K'Nex, table football and more! The children are already using these new toys to brighten up their rainy days.
